From Software made a misstep with Dark Souls 2, and it's got long-time Souls fans leery. Bloodborne will either be their redemption, or proof that From has jumped the shark.

With its unique 4v1 style of gameplay, Evolve creates a fast paced competitive multiplayer game where the power shift constantly changes, forcing uncoordinated players to work well together or else they will be demolished.
Evolve
Turtle Rock Studios
Versus has always been sort of built up as the savior to Final Fantasy, which will reclaim the title from the Lightning's Armpits saga. That said, we've seen little to nothing of the gameplay lately, and the setting veers way closer to contemporary life than anything with "Fantasy" in the name should.
Final Fantasy XV
Square Enix
Somebody should really SWEEP up that blood.
Hotline Miami 2
Devolver Digital
GRAPPLING HOOK EVERYDAY
Just Cause 3
Eidos Interactive
Knowing Tripwire's dedication to the original game to constantly give it updates for five straight years, we know that Tripwire isn't just making it look better.
Killing Floor 2

It's Hideo Kojima, and he usually doesn't let us down, plus Ground Zeroes was pretty good. That said, between the child soldiers, the torture, and Quiet, Big Boss's saga is starting to get real grimdark real fast. He wasn't kidding when he said this game could end his career if he fucks it up. It's a question if Kojima is still a rusemaster that prioritizes gameplay and still manages to tell a cool story, or if the years between Peace Walker and Phantom Pain have turned him into a caricature of himself.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Konami
Netherrealm's new attempt in making a proper new generation sequel for the new reboot. Looking much more promising than Ps2-era stuff, that's for sure.
Mortal Kombat X
Netherrealm Studios
Atlus has been milking the Persona 4 cow for a long time, and the new characters in P4 Ultimax and PQ aren't even fanfiction-tier. Persona lives or dies by its characters, and if Sho Minazuki, Rei, and Zen are what we can expect, P5 might have an uphill battle coming its way.
Persona 5
Atlus
Seems like Nintendo wants to dip their feet in the shooter genre, but they are trying it in their own way. Not with gruff soldier and grey guns, but with molluscs, paint and lots of color
Splatoon
Nintendo
Yet another entry for the Legend of Zelda, this new insatllment seems to introduce a more open world to the series, coupled with smoother horse controls and slow-mo archery
The Legend of Zelda Wii U
Nintendo
The ending to the trilogy does not disappoint. Promises include a huge open world, choices that matter and change the world, as well as sea combat and horseback combat.
The Witcher 3
CD Projekt RED
The sequel to that game Nintendo didn't care about you playing. Giant mechs and giant monsters all seem like a lot of fun, and with no more than 5 minutes of total gameplay footage, everyone has a hardon for this new JRPG.
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Nintendo
